why not bangle 2?

If you have a bangle 2 thats fairly warn out. I would potentially buy that too.
Mostly i'm making changing to the BangleJS library and i don't want to mess anything up. So having both a Bangle1 and Bangle2 that i can quickly test things would be helpful.

why not use the emulator for that? does it not support loading whatever you want to load?

why not use the emulator for that?
@user156811 is changing the actual C firmware where it interfaces with the real hardware - an awful lot of that code doesn't get used in the emulator, so even if the emulator works it's no guarantee that the device itself isn't broken

It is very old watch now, likely nowhere to be found for years already. Just checked and I bought F18 on aliexpress in 2019, you can't even buy much newer watches.
it is this thing https://www.amazon.co.uk/F18-Smartwatch-Bluetooth-Waterproof-Pedometer-Red/dp/B07JLV7ZF1
here is youtube reviewhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tpjtu02M_DI
EDIT: you also can't find it on https://www.dtno1.com/search/index.php?keyword=F18 which is company that sold it, google "dt no.1 f18"

Thanks for trying to get one! I'll have a dig around here and see if I can find one to send you - there were several with slightly uneven displays so I may have something here that didn't seem good enough to sell still.
Please can you email me your address to gw@pur3.co.uk?

I think you can flash a f18 with banglejs

it is tricky without taking apart but possible, two special dfu zips (sdk11 bootloader fix, sdk12 softdevice+bootloader) and then normal espruino dfu zip, there is slight chance you may brick it by doing it wrong and need to take it apart and use swd

you can brick it if you skip the first step that installs patched sdk11 bootloader. This may also happen when you think you've done it but it fails somehow and you don't check the result and go to next step. it won't hurt if you try the first zip multiple times if you are not sure it went ok first time. at worst it may fail with invalid version second time if the bootloader always requires version increase - this is optional feature that the manufacturer can enable.

Still interested in Bangle1?
Only used it for a few months.
Just uploaded and updated it to 2V24.
Is a kickstarter clock, without buzzer. -

I'll take it.
If anybody in the US is trying to sell a used or even heavily damage Bangle 1. I would love to buy one. I plan to just use it for testing with. Not actually using it on a day to day.
