Pur3's Morphyre

  • Just found owners older project Morphyre.
How do visualization projects like this work?
Any idea what 3D rendering software was used to make most of these?

  • More so, if anyone can explain to me how the themes menu works on the program, I would greatly appreciate it.
Apologies if this isn't the best place to post a question like this. Not sure how to get into contact with the software author otherwise.

If you know their name you can at "@" them.
What are you looking to do just curious?
Do these old visualizers still work under windows 11 anway?

  • Hi - yes, Morphyre is my old project.

I stopped doing work on it and started giving it away for free almost 10 years ago. Every year it costs me money even to continue to host it, so I can't continue to offer any support for it.

The rendering is done in C++, using OpenGL directly. There's no underlying engine like Unreal/etc.

I guess you're talking about the Themes menu in the personal version of Morphyre? As I recall when you select a theme it ensures that the next scene that is changed to is of that 'theme' type - I think it's as simple as that
