I'd be interested to hear what other have to say on this. I would have said:
- Nokia Android One phone as they seemed cheap and well supported
- Motorola moto phone
Both of those usually have pretty unmolested versions of Android installed. Last I looked into it was a few years ago so the situation could have changed though

I must admit, this does not really belong to Puck.js, but maybe someone has an idea.
My older iphone (6) seems to have a very short Bluetooth distance, because I have to get real close to the Puck to connect. It is much better with a 6S - but I am looking for a cheaper solution. I thought about trying Android: it will just have to get online (wifi), request a simple website and - most important - connect smoothly to the Puck. I am used to Apple for many years now: which Android is good and cheap?
