I'll be doing this on a VirtualBox VM with Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS (if you want to get set up first) which should work from any platform, but if you're on Windows 10 you can also install Bash on Windows which also works great.

And yeah, sorry about the awkwardness. I had to change the way I was doing things a bit and while I set up a second monitor to do a screenshare at the last minute, it turns out it would only share the entire 4500 pixel wide desktop or one window at a time!
