I believe I just fixed this, if you try one of the absolute latest builds from http://www.espruino.com/binaries/travis/master/

Remember to long-press the button at boot after flashing though (while all 3 LEDs go on, and while the red flashes 5 times). That'll clear out all saved pairing info.

I've had to update Nordic's software (it was a bug on their side) so I need to do a bunch more tests before releasing it as 1v96, but it seems very promising.
