Gadgetbridge could be made a peripheral I think, but I don't think it's a good idea. With other devices being able to initiate a connection there's a worry that maybe anyone could then connect to your Phone and access your messages, phone, etc.
With Gadgetbridge as a 'central', it's always up to the phone to initiate the connection.
Why do you want this though? Are you having problems getting the bangle connected?
If so there's a (default off)
automatic reconnect
option in Gadgetbridge, and when your phone's power save is disabled for Gadgetbridge it's usually pretty good at keeping connected -

Ok!
My thinking was the
automatic reconnect
-functionality probably eats a lot of the phones battery (I get that sense at least, not done any extensive testing whatsoever). But if I turn it off I will have to pick up and unlock my phone and click to connect the bangle before using them together, of course. If I could initiate the connection on the bangle that might have been a good middle ground for me.But from what you write I will not put any more thought into this I think. Thank you for clarifying! :)
Hi,
Out of curiosity, would it be feasible to initiate connection with Gadgetbridge from the Bangle? If it is I might be willing to work on code to enable that feature at some point!
