@Frida: Yes, we are going to move to the new IDE. I hope @mattbrailsford's recent change makes it more usable for you though.
Personally I found that on small screens (like a netbook) the old Web IDE was a disaster when accessing things like the settings menu for flashing - this one should be miles better. If you absolutely can't bear the new one, the old one will always be available here though
I know you might like the old one but I've had a lot of complaints :( At the end of the day, I can put years of effort into Espruino itself (and have!) but what most people see when they use Espruino is the Web IDE, and if that looks outdated and clunky then they'll get a bad impression of it.

Espruino is a JavaScript interpreter for low-power Microcontrollers. This site is both a support community for Espruino and a place to share what you are working on.
