However honestly, there should be a bunch of material online without needing a book (including tutorials on espruino.com) but I'm afraid I don't have any specific links
Espruino is a JavaScript interpreter for low-power Microcontrollers. This site is both a support community for Espruino and a place to share what you are working on.
