I've got a Chromebook that I'm using increasingly with the Web IDE.
It works fine for me. Do you have an internet connection?
Also, check that
Settings -> Communications -> Module URLishttp://www.espruino.com/modules- maybe you might have set it to something different on your PC, and then the Chromebook used your previous settings?
