Yes and reinstalled BT. The Bangle can be accessed from my phone, but it looses erratically connection. It the one I discussed here already: http://forum.espruino.com/conversations/368381/#comment16201131
I tried also firmware v2.09 an v2.10.
I'm at the moment not shure whether it's Bangle or PC which causes problems. The Chrom(ium) problems are strange. -
Hi Gordon,
thank you. I previously made some experiments with Node.js/Noble/Bangle which did not work (stuck on discovery while WebBLE did work). But this had not affected WebBLE.
Today it is not working anymore. The strange thing was that I had to enable experimental "Use the new permissions backend for Web Bluetooth" in Chromium which is -as far as I remember new- before I even got offered WebBLE in the IDE.I restarted, un/reinstalled BT and Bluez and it is working with other devices.
In Chrome I don't even get a yellow connection button though experimental features are enabled. In Brave the IDE does not offer WebBLE. I got no more idea now. -
Hi,
I'm facing a strange problem with WebBLE with Chromium running on Kubuntu. The device is visible and can be selected but the IDE does fail to connect to the Bangle v1. The browser log states:
either:" No Services matching UUID 6e400001-b5a3-f393-e0a9-e50e24dcca9e found in Device.".
or
>>> Connecting to Bangle.js 3f8a index.js:92938 BT> Device Name: Bangle.js 3f8a index.js:92938 BT> Device ID: oyJbQyUewHuu3x2K3MAQUg== index.js:92938 >>> Connected to BLE index.js:92938 BT> Connected index.js:92938 BT> Disconnected (gattserverdisconnected) index.js:92948 [notify_error] Connection Failed. Cannot retrieve services. (Re)connect first with `device.gatt.connect`.
The app loader logs "NetworkError: Connection failed for unknown reason.
ui.js:86 [error] Device connection failed,".Has anyone an idea on this?

You'd be surprised that even the computer you're using has an opaque, second "brain" that >nobody except the manufacturer has any idea of what it's doing (maybe even tracking you?) >https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intel_Management_Engine
I know what IME is and this problems also applies to NICs. But how should the Bangle watch screen firmware communicate with the internet? Even BT firmware can't do it.

When I said mentioned my purchase decision what attracts me to the project is it was >advertised as "open source" in the 1st article I read, then I was told it isn't fully open source. > I am trying to move as much of my electronic life to open source projects.
Then this one is for you. The software is fully open source.
There are also regulatory reasons for closed firmware, since in some countries you are not allowed to change the way the radio system works since it may cause interference with other wireless products and they will loose their general operating license.

Just a suggestion for the app: It would be nice to be able to define freely a couple of (REST-) URI so that Bangle apps can call the Android app e.g. URI 1 call with a=1 and b=2 like "request({1,1,2})" on Bangle. This should be easy to implement and helps people who don't want to modify the app and would open up great possibilities for new apps.

Hi Robin,
thank you. I resetted it without loading any code
https://www.espruino.com/Bangle.js#resetting-without-loading-any-code
I see an error: "ncaught error expecting first argu" which is strange since no app should be launched.I tried several times (>12) to "delete all apps" and "install default apps" in the store, but it lost always the connection and got stuck.
However today I managed to complete the process and now I have default apps reinstalled. What is the difference to yesterday? Hm, it's the next day :-) I really don't know since the process was the same as yesterday around midnight.
Thank you for your time.

I'd like to back Bangle Js 2 but it says rewards are not guaranteed? For those who back
have you received your reward?Last time I did and Gordon has several other successful campaigns. Yes, you are right, on Kickstarter nothing is guaranteed. You have to assess the risks for yourself. In my case Gordons projects are up to now the only ones I were backing. If you don't want to back it right now on Kickstarter you may later buy it as a product on espruino.com, but with likely a higher price tag.

Also, didn't mention this on the KickStarter but after a period of not moving the
accelerometer enters low power mode (1.25Hz), and that drops power usage to 0.15mA so
you're looking at around 2 months battery life (with the screen always on!).We have to call you Gordon "The Wizard" Williams from now on ... :-)

Ah sorry, I just realized that the problem is solved in the cutting edge fimware.
