Flow based programming

Would it be possible to implement flow based programming?

There are a couple of projects I have stumbled upon. Node-RED being probably the most compatible as its javascript based however instead of deploying code to node.js I guess it needs to be pushed down the serial connection.

Yes, I think it should be possible - and not too hard to implement. Personally I don't have time to work on it but it would be interesting if someone did knock something up - especially if you could draw a box around part of the flow and say "this bit goes in Espruino"

I appreciate you don't have the time Gordon.

Its probably quite a trivial problem to solve for some people, however I am not a programmer so I don't really know where to start on this but I am keen to learn if someone is willing to hold my hand and point me in the right direction.

Tips:

Create headers by underlining text with ==== or ----

To *italicise* text put one asterisk each side of the word

To **bold** text put two asterisks each side of the word

That's the hard one: exclamation, square brackets and then the URL to the image in brackets.

* Create lists by starting lines with asterisks

Mention another user by @username

For syntax highlighting, surround the code block with three backticks:

```
Just like Github, a blank line must precede a code block.
