Check your router (usually they provide a way to list connected clients) and see if the WizNET adapter is listed (look for the MAC address)... that'd help narrow down what's going on - though I'm not sure if it's actionable.
Also - Have you checked that those connections are all okay? ? Sometimes those breadboards are flaky.
