Mounting the Espruino board?

Posted on
  • I need to some how mount my Espruino board to a piece of plexiglass without drilling a hole into the Espruino board. Will Velcro work? Does anyone have experience as to what method works?

  • http://www.espruino.com/Mounting and use "hot glue" on the mounting hardware. I used hot glue on everything due to the fact it can be removed easily.

  • Thanks for your reply. I purchased the side mounting hardware from Adafruit. If that doesn't work I will most likely use the hot glue gun method that you recommended.

  • I often use a cable tie if that helps.

Otherwise you could solder something to some unused pins (especially the whole row of non-GPIO pins at the opposite end of the board to USB). For example a ring crimp connector: http://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/crimp-ringĀ-terminals/6881439/

  • @Gordon, can you please attach an image with cable tie example? Interesting how it looks like.
@d0773d, thought about PCB male (is it right name?)

but with long legs for corner pins: A15, B2, GND, GND

  • I don't have one to hand right now, but I literally just drill two holes in whatever I'm mounting to (either side of the Espruino board) and loop a cable tie around it.
