That's great, thanks! Using manufacturer data is an odd one, but I believe when I was looking at controlling LEGO clone devices with https://www.espruino.com/LEGO+Power+Functions+Clone I found it done as well - not sure if maybe it's something the Chinese manufacturers tend to do a bit more for some reason.
If you wanted, it might be a cool thing to add a module for, or just to add to the end of https://www.espruino.com/BLE+Lightbulbs
