It's just something you might have to deal with I'm afraid - the swipe and drag events come from the touchscreen hardware, so you'll get drag events and then at some point it'll figure out it's a swipe and you get a swipe event too.
So if you get a swipe event, you'll just have to figure out how to undo/hide what's happened so far with the dragging...
