Using the API you mentioned sounds like a great way to implement OCR in your app, and it's awesome that you get 100 API calls a month for free.
It's always exciting to see new apps with innovative features like this, and I think it could be really useful for people who have trouble reading their own handwriting or for those who want to keep their shopping lists on their watch.
