GPS Recorder - track filename ? and potential issue

Would it be better for GPSrecorder to turn on the GPS picking up whatever GPS settings have been stored for the gpsservice widget when it was last used.

Yes, personally I'd have thought it was better to keep it simple:

• GPS Recorder widget/app doing what it currently does, but with added distance/time settings.
  
• A 'GPS Settings' app that you run once and configure with the settings for GPS that you want (as being as they get saved to the GPS module). It could include power save mode, but also maybe which of GPS/Glonass/Beidou you need and possibly other things later
  
  

That way any app that uses GPS can benefit from the power saving modes. Maybe there will be some that don't deal well with getting lower update speeds, but they could be fixed.

Or am I missing something about how this works?
