Hi - sorry for the delay, I was away last week.
How did you update the firmware? Using the instructions for 'Use Espruino' at http://www.espruino.com/ESP8266#use-a-separate-usb-ttl-adaptor ? So actually doing the connection via the Pico?
First I'd make sure your Pico firmware is up to date, then did you make the changes to ESP_RAM_BLOCK/ESP_FLASH_BLOCK ?
