Ahh - yes, that's actually really bad timing. The 'Animated Clock' had a bug that caused it not to run unless Image clock was installed - I'd fixed it a few days ago but forgot to update banglejs.com/apps - I actually updated it about half an hour ago to fix this (so before your message, but I guess after you'd had the trouble!)
Do if you try now (assuming your Bangle.js firmware is one of the recent cutting-edge ones) it should work great.
The defaults for 'favourite apps' do have a clock in - but maybe you might have modified those at some point?
