For security, most devices like laptops and even phones never advertise their existence. They might if you open the Bluetooth settings windows, but even then it's probably over standard Bluetooth and not Bluetooth LE.
If you want a second opinion about what BLE devices are available, install 'nRF connect' on your Android/iOS phone - that'll show you everything the phone is able to detect

The puck doesn't seem to recognize bluetooth devices, my laptop and android bluetooth are available (the puck is actually paired to the laptop) but it doesn't recognize it when using findDevices
it finds another device, doesn't give it a name and can't connect to it at all.
any ideas?
