newbie: how to connect wireless for programming, loading, etc.

I haven't actually done any on Android either, but when I looked last time:

• BlueTerm on the Play store is an easy way to try things out

• There's also an Android example that does exactly what you want: http://developer.android.com/samples/BluetoothChat/index.html
  
• If you didn't want to install the Android devkit (it sounds like you know your way around it already though), DroidScript has Bluetooth support and there are some examples of controlling Espruino from it.
