Hi, I'm looking at ways to connect an ESP8266 (ESP12) to an STM32 that leave maximum free pins available, and was wondering if anyone knew:
GPIO0 puts the ESP8266 into bootloader mode - but does the ESP8266 care what GPIO0 is set to at any point apart from right after reset or power on?
Does GPIO2 need pulling up, or can it be left disconnected? If it does, does it absolutely need a resistor? I'd be using the AT command firmware so hopefully the code won't be pulling it down.
What does GPIO16 do on the ESP12? I've seen it pulled up to 3.3v with a resistor, but is that required or can it just be shorted?
Espruino is a JavaScript interpreter for low-power Microcontrollers. This site is both a support community for Espruino and a place to share what you are working on.
