I do not know if GB sends that regularly or how you can trigger that.

@Gordon
I extended the pedometer widget and it is going through tests now.
You have to reach 10 steps in a given time (eg 10 seconds) to make the steps count.Advantages:
- This should filter out arm movement.
- You can display an "active" attribute to show if you are currently in active mode or not
- The "active" attribute could be used to message you to get some movemment if some time has passed without movemnet
Disadvantage:
- The steps are only added in increments, eg 10
- Widget needs timers, no idea how that affects battery life.
Currently i am fiddling around with the amount of steps needed and with the time frame to get best results. It looks promising.

Yes, that works. Thank you for posting this easy to use testing script.
I think there is a general problem with counting steps.There is more to it than just measuring acceleration.
With acceleration only you have it counting steps, but then it also counts wrist movement. So doing the dishes awards me hundreds of steps.
Lowering the sensitivity too much will lead to steps not counted.Probably existing smartwatches measure this in a much more complex way.

Thanks for the hints, let me answer the questions. Sorry for not being specific enough.
I have a 11 sqm flat
Walls are pretty sick, I do not think BLE would make it
OpenHAB is running on a Pi using OpenHabian
I want to measure room air quality, no greenhouse
Maybe later on I want to measure things in an indoor terrarium as wellMaybe I have to go with LoRa.

Hi,
I am using OpenHAB for my home automation and I am thinking of introducing more sensors to it.
Maybe Espruino would be a good way to do it and now I am taking suggestions about what the best combination is.Requirements
- Must be implementable in OpenHAB
- Humidity Sensor
- Temperature Sensor
- CO2 sensor
- Long battery life
Thanks

Do I have to get something from the official branch to incorporate the changes you just made?

@Gordon
I put the images to an images.js file and required in the app:var getImg = require("https://github.com/Purple-Tentacle/BangleApps/blob/master/apps/moonphase/images.js").getImg;
When I try to upload to bangle I receive a different error message:
Upload failed, Unexpected response Uncaught SyntaxError: Got var expected EOF
Is this still the same issue?

Hi,
I am planning to send and receive files from the Internet directly on the bangle.
If I am connected to my Android phone with GadgetBridge, does this make Internet access possible?If not, where would I have to connect to?
And would that mean that I cannot get either notifications from GadgetBridge or connect to the Internet, as only one Connection is possible?Thanks

Where would I set this option, or all other options, if necessary?
Directly in the code of the app/widget?Would it make sense to include an options page in the settings (or create a new app for setting this options)? Or do they get lost after closing the app?
I would volunteer to start developing such a thing, if it makes sense.

Edit: see here http://forum.espruino.com/conversations/345754/
Hi,
I am using the pedometer widget.
The step count is always much too high, it counts simple arm movement as steps. Is the calculation done in the widget or in the firmware? Or do the steps come from the watch?In the current state it is not of much use, unfortunately.
Thanks

Edit: did not read the reply from Gordon.
It seems that my file is still too big.That's not it.
I changed all images to test:var imgNewMoon = { width : 26, height : 26, bpp : 1, transparent : 0, buffer : require("heatshrink").decompress(atob("AH4AUA==")) };
They are much shorter now, but I still receive the same error.

I am working on a moon phase app right now.
After that, I am planning to make a moon phase widget.
See Moonphase in my fork:

Hi,
I forked the app launcher and wrote an application:
https://github.com/Purple-Tentacle/BangleApps/blob/master/apps/moonphase/app.jsWhen loading in Emulator, it works fine.
When sending from IDE to the bangle.js (flash), it works fine.When I try to upload it using my forked app loader, I receive the message:
Upload Failed, got UNFINISHED STRING expected EOFWhat is wrong?
Thanks
Christian
So the second app obtains the data and then sends it through GB to the Bangle?
