The bangle isn't in android Bluetooth settings. I tried with a browser on PC, works there.

I toggled that, I get a new android notification now about Scan service not scanning and Bangle.js running, but no success connecting.

I tried restarting phone and watch, disabling and enabling BLE and "Make Connectable" in the watch, and reinstalling Gadgetbridge.

I went through the pages now, nothing applied except for the low battery; it isn't really low but I am charging it now anyway.

I did not find an appropriate thread, but I only did a quick search though.

Today I realized that the watch isn't connected to the phone. It didn't reconnect immediately (which worked for me the last month flawlessly), so my dive into this rabbit hole now ended after several reboots in a fresh installation of the app.

Now it shows an error toast, so that is something \o/ I press on bangle in the device discovery, press pair, and yes on companion. Now a loading icon appears (it didn't before) and after some while a toast appears reading "Bonding with %1$s failed immediately".

I am now at the end of my abilities and would like some pointers to get them to talk to each other again.

I doubt that's possible with the firmware.

As it said that is for the newest batch of bangles, it is a pin for GPS which was left floating by default and on all older ones this was interpreted as false, but on newer ones its true so GPS was on unexpectedly. This won't be the issue here.

Ordering it now thank you so much for providing them, will definitely give an update how it turns out.

Oh I understood from Mark 1 you just pressed it on. So for this version you need to dissemble the plastic body and reassemble it in the metal body?

Then I would order Mark 1 I do not trust my soldering skills to do this without breaking the watch :D

I broke the screen on my watch today a bit. Since I like using it as a watch, so also when its a bit rainy, and this is certainly not a good idea with a cracked screen, I ordered a new one. Now, does someone need a perfectly fine, just screen a bit cracked Bangle? For development or so?

I was really looking forward to that feature, since I bicycle a lot in traffic and I can miss the navigation voice telling me where to go. Looking at the wiki, that's not implemented yet, I can't find a way to make it, probably due to changes missing in the android app. Just wanted to know if its still being worked on.

I am surprised no one has posted this before, I feel like I have missed it. But for a while now I can not use the Messages app at all. It shows a white screen (the widgets are drawn, rest is white) whenever it is trigger by the Bangle JS app or when I open it with the menu when a notification is unread. The no messages screen is drawn correctly.

Large amount of negativity? There were like two people saying they don't like the UI of GitHub. Other big discussion was about data protection rules, but None really said they wouldn't use the GitHub discussion.

Yes, from my understanding it will be very much possible. You get an event every time the acceleration sensor reads data (if I understand correctly you can change that timing with setPollInterval), and thus you can "just" check the data with the last reading, if its a big enough acceleration, store the read data (+first time stamp if you want to avoid math) until the acceleration slows down, then do the sum math and display the result.

1. You don't need to modify the firmware to use the button, there are several functions for that (setWatch or setUI)
   
2. No extra module, button see above, HRM http://www.espruino.com/Reference#l_Bang­le_HRM
   
3. The bangles only way to communicate to other devices is with Bluetooth, so yes, use that.
   

I received my new bangle because the old ones bluetooth had issues. Should I send the old one, which quite reliably shows this error, back to you? Or can I backup the bangle with the debug ports?

New one connected right away!
