Driver for Espruino Pico - Windows 7 Embedded

Posted on
  • Hi,
I have the 5 Espruino Pico boards,
I developed the program on windows 10 and upload the to board flash.

The problem is when i try connect the boards to windows 7 Embedded (I knows is old....) the board not found the driver on the windows.
i am try istall the drivers: stm32_vcp_1.3.1,stm32_vcp_1.4.0, en.stsw-stm32102
but in the device manager he is changed the the device to com port and show error : "A service installatin section in this INF is invalid".
and error in the event viewer about microsoft.windows.common

  • So are you developing in JavaScript? Or are you attempting to write a custom binary onto the boards?

I'd used Windows 7 with the Picos for a while and it worked fine - although I admit I never used the Embedded version

The version 1.4.0 drivers linked from http://www.espruino.com/Quick+Start+USB should work (did you install the right 32/64 bit version?). Is it possible there might be a conflict with 1.3.1 if that were installed?

(also, moved this to the correct forum, as this is not ESP32)

  • Hi Gordon
I am try this in windows 7 64 bit and is worked.

In my windows 7 is windows 7 32 bit.
I am remove all the old versions
