Posted at 2022-03-29 by Sir_Indy I've been using the pebble app, the white on red text means low battery, so sounds like you're out of juice. Posted at 2022-03-29 by fbausd The power connection is ok. This is enforced by magnets so there is little chance to do this wrong. As written before I have checked the connection with a second Bangle 2. Thank for your reply! Posted at 2022-03-30 by fbausd Loading over night did not help. Posted at 2022-03-30 by @gfwilliams What do the contacts on the back of the Bangle look like? are they corroded? On the Bangle's we're selling now we add tape over the middle 2 contacts to help with this, but if you have a KickStarter Bangle the contacts might have got corroded to the point where the charger isn't making contact? You could try giving them a quick clean and see if that helps? Posted at 2022-03-30 by fbausd The contacts look fine. I gave them a clean with a detergent. Please give me a note if I should use something else. Posted at 2022-03-30 by @gfwilliams Ok, thanks - when/if the watch does get power from the charger, it won't turn on immediately. You'll need to hold the button down for a few seconds to get it to start. Another thing to watch out for - just in case - is to see if it's still advertising on Bluetooth. There is a small possibility that the screen has stopped working. Posted at 2022-03-30 by fbausd I just retried without success. Usually there is a short buzzing when connecting to the cable. This is missing, too. Posted at 2022-03-30 by @gfwilliams Ok, please can you try one other thing - try leaving the watch to charge somewhere warm (~50'C max) - maybe on top of a radiator or something. Sometimes if the watch runs out of battery when warm and it had the old bootloader that attempted to turn on immediately, when charging is attempted when it's cold and the battery is capable of supplying even less power, the startup power required can be too much for the battery and it shuts off again. Posted at 2022-03-30 by fbausd Ok, it's warming up now. Wait and see. Posted at 2022-03-30 by fbausd Still dead. The bootloader should be the newest one anyway. My wife updated anything that had the update symbol. Posted at 2022-03-30 by fbausd I just updated the other Bangle 2 to the latest versions. Now I'm quite sure that my wife didn't update the firmware via the app loader. Since we were coming from 2v10 she would have asked how to proceed. Posted at 2022-03-31 by @gfwilliams Ok, thanks - so do you think you ever updated the firmware/bootloader at all? Or it was just the JavaScript side of things? I guess if it hasn't come back to life now then it's dead though. I'll ask Christine to get in touch about a replacement body :( Posted at 2022-04-05 by fbausd I was just the first time we updated the firmware via app loader. The replacement has just arrived :o) |

One of our Bangle 2 stopped working today. The display is black and there is no reaction on whatever we try.
My wife did a software update incl. firmware update (edit: not sure, maybe it was the boot loader only) a few days ago. The watch was running fine afterwards.
The only unexpected thing was that the Pebble watch displayed the time white on red instead of black on white. This might have been the warning of the battery running low on energy. I am not sure since we never had that before.
The clock stopped working all over sudden. There is no reaction / display at all. Trying to reload the battery for several hours had no effect. I checked that the USB cable is OK with our second Bangle 2. Pressing the button for several seconds (tried up to 20 sec) had no effect, with or without connected USB cable.
I am out of my wits. Does anybody have a suggestion what to do?
