Your stuff is a great enhancement for ESP8266 with 4MB!
got "4MB:1024/1024" running with fixed vars.
used "FLASH_4MB_C1" instead of "ESP8266_BIGFLASH" :-)
next is the "scripts/build_platform_config.py" stuff
