No, I have not changed the code, I will first compile the code as is, before I make any changes.
It was the compiler.
gcc-arm-none-eabi-4_9-2015q3, works
gcc-arm-none-eabi-5_2-2015q4, does not work
gcc-arm-none-eabi-5_3-2016q1, does not work
