@tve is just right: no what-so-ever war helps us to find 'the' solution. It all depends: weighing the context / constraints / resources across the whole life cycle and balancing with the (intentionally selected) opportunity costs have to be the guideline.
In order to still stay flexible, a good modularization and layering / api choices allow adjustments for the better while still underway in building without essential consequences (...without having to start over).
