PICO com port is seen but can't connect into it?

Posted on
  • hi don't know what happened, I see my pico com /dev/ttyACM0 but can't connect into it by WebIDE, picocom and minicom, what can be wrong?

  • now it was connected into WebIDE but got info that WebIDE can't find a stm32 bootloader, but pico is in bootloader mode, it is pulsing LED's,

after while It was possible to flash the firmware, pico can connect into WebIDE but I can't write anything in console, I have also Esprino board (green one) and it is working in all of that terminals,

dont' know what was wrong, but after plenty of times and few flash firmware operations It came back to live ;)

  • Glad it's sorted!

On Linux, you can get what you describe if some application is already connected to the com port - it happens if I accidentally leave minicom open in the background for instance.

Could it have been something like that?

  • Yes it could, I used some terminals as minicom and picocom, but I was worried I burned it as connected also NRF module and swap by mistake Vcc with GND, but fortunately pico is a live ;)
