I've determined that the out of memory issue can happen without logging. So I think there is some condition in which my DHT module explodes. Investigations are ongoing.
However, there is still the issue with the SD card getting unhappy and producing DISK_ERRs, which happens when just logging gibberish. Do you have any thoughts on how to debug this further?
