Espruino is a JavaScript interpreter for low-power Microcontrollers. This site is both a support community for Espruino and a place to share what you are working on.

The HC-05 creates 2 COM ports.
You need the second one (probably COM5).
Also, you must have the USB cable unplugged from the espruino, otherwise it won't respond on bluetooth.
I've also on several occasions gotten that behavior persistently and had to reboot the computer (and sometimes unpair the HC-05 and re-pair to it).
