@Gordon - another thought:
Might it be possible to allow for selection of which apps can send notifications (Messages) to the watch? For example, I really don't need incoming emails to be notified.

I just updated to the latest and in Manage Patterns, I don't see any applications on the right hand side.
Also, when scrolling through patterns, they get chopped up (horizontally) so much that they are unreadable.
I think black dots with white numbers would be easier to see the pattern than the white dots with the black numbers.
Thanks. -

Pebble never worked two-way with the iPhone, so sending messages was not an option - perhaps with the exception of AT&T subscribers.
I don't see myself ever wanting to talk to my watch; if I can't (or don't want to) get my phone out, they can leave a message for me to reply to at my convenience later!

Hi Gordon,
nRF Toolbox did the trick (with the .zip file) on iPhone 11 Pro Max, iOS 15.1. It worked eventually, but it wasn't a simple one-click operation, as I've written in other comments.
Other than that, this is a great successor to the Pebble, and arrived just as my Pebble battery decided it couldn't cope any more!

nRF Toolbox on iPhone 11 Pro Max, iOS 15.1.
The watch disconnected every 1% of the transfer, but clicking on Retry each time seemed to work to get it to advance in % until it finally reached 100%. When it rebooted it showed .244 and everything is now working just fine.
I can't remember, is there an instruction that the first thing to when Bangle arrives is update the FW? That might have been the case, but I don't think the FW Update app was doing what it says on the tin at that point?

Hi Gordon,
I ended up using nRF Toolbox and DFU yesterday to get to .244 and, although the watch disconnected virtually every 1% of the transfer (so clicked on Retry until I got up to 100%) all is now working just fine!
I had another go with the Firmware Update yesterday (December 12) but it was still ending up with .219 at the end of the process. I think Hugh or Peter also tried it.

The video/instructions are for Bangle 1, but work the same for Bangle 2.

Thanks for your support of my other issues, I really appreciate the help.
Yep, the emergence of Rebble, who may well have a replacement iOS app soon, was a lifesaver to all the loyal Pebblers! Astonishing that the Pebble environment is still continuing this long after the whole thing came to a halt.
Hopefully Bangle JS will prove a worthy successor, and if there are more Pebble-like watchfaces, then it would be easier to encourage Pebblers to join the Bangle community.
I think it was probably the clash with the dark theme.
