Who knows - from now on I will live with the Plugable one
Don't remeber where I bought it, sorry. dmesg says:
usb 7-1: new full-speed USB device number 4 using ohci-pci
usb 7-1: New USB device found, idVendor=0a12, idProduct=0001, bcdDevice=88.91
usb 7-1: New USB device strings: Mfr=0, Product=2, SerialNumber=0
usb 7-1: Product: CSR8510 A10
Got it today, and surprisingly - it works.
The IDE connected successfully with the first try. Downloading the blink example too!
Will get the USB-BT4LE in two days and will let you know here what happens
I have two different devices, some Puck.js and the Smartibot, using both as normal user.
I will follow your suggestion and will order a Plugable USB-BT4LE and hope to have more success then in the past.
I started 2 years ago with a Logilink Adapter and was not happy. Now I have a new project based on SmartiBot and the Espruino Web IDE for Smartibot.
But even this is still not working. May be my used Logilink adapter is not suited?
Anyone working with the Web IDE under Linux, may be OpenSuse Tumbleweed? And can recommend a Bluetooth USB Adapter.
This experimental flag is not anymore available.
I switched to Chromium. In Chromium the flag can be activated and the Web-IDE works like it should.
This version is now
Chromium 55.0.2883.75 (Entwickler-Build) (64-Bit)
I recently updated Chrome from v 55 to 56
Google Chrome 56.0.2924.76 (Offizieller Build) (64-Bit)
Betriebssystem Linux (OpenSuse 42.2)
and now I'm not anymore able to connect to the Puck.js
"SEARCHING .... NO PORTS FOUND"
And I can also niot find how to enable webbluetooth in the chrome://flags section
Can someone confirm this behaviour? Or give instruction how to solve it.
