  • does it deliver voltage and current?

  • Well, it'll still cost you £3.99 - 99p is just for the cable :)

It should work with Espruino - but:

    • Sometimes Espruino doesn't draw enough power to convince these things there is anything connected. You may have to add a resistor to increase the power draw.
    • Because they have a 3.7 (Li-Ion voltage) to 5v converter inside (which isn't that efficient) you may not get the battery life you're expecting.

Of course you could crack it open and fit a cable directly from the battery to Espruino, and then you should be able to run Espruino on it for ages.

At this point, wouldn't it be easier to just use a 18650 battery? ($1/ea, 1-cell holder $0.79, then either buy a charger board, or use an external charger to recharge).

  • @DrAzzy the thing is that soldering, rewiring etc is a bit scary for me at this moment :)

  • Well, that battery thing should work fine - and then I guess if you find that it doesn't power Espruino for long enough you could open it up later on. If you post some pictures we can tell you what to connect :)

About the batteries, there are some links here to ones that are all pre-soldered: http://www.espruino.com/Battery

The 18650 batteries look good - it'd be nice if we could find a holder that had the PHR-2 connector on it already :)
