I would say it is the only way. The sdk is probably too heavy for the bangle
well there is no direct interenet connectivity nor networking stack on the bangle so also REST api is not possible on the bangle, you need some sort of gateway running somewhere else to pass messages from Bangle, and somewhere else anything is possible
