Update this code for the latest Espruino firmware

    I'm new in the Espruino universe, but I'm learning very quickly ;) and I would like to update the code of this project so that it can work with the latest Espruino firmware.

    Currently, after performing several tests, the code of this project only works with the 1v95 version, which will admit it to you and the oldest firmware and I would like to enjoy all the improvements that have been brought since.

  • What's wrong with the old code? Does it just 'not work', or are there errors?

  • I don't actually see any real errors there. I wonder whether the warnings come from Bluetooth being enabled? I'm not sure though.

    Does it just 'not work' on 2v09 then? Or what isn't working that should be?

  • @Gordon, When I download the configuration file (1st file), "flash mode" without problem but this error is displayed:

    • WARNING: scan stop failed
    • WARNING: set rssi scan not implemented yet
      ...

    Then after the reset, the config is present. But when I try to upload in RAM the second file, the sending stops before the end and impossible to save it!

    ESP32 firmware still has some debug infos output as warnings which can be ignored

    This can happen when the upload has code that are not in function because they are executed immediately.

  • I think the issue is that both files should be uploaded to RAM. By uploading the fist to flash you're making it erase the 'FlashFS' literally every time the device boots, which causes the hang.

    Manually enter reset(1) on the left-hand side, then upload both files to RAM, and you may well be fine
