That's great. Is it some random seller or directly "Shenzhen IWOWN Technology Co., Ltd."? Just asking because the company has their android/ios SDK public which is not exactly usual. http://api6.iwown.com/devcenter/home.html (hopefully this is intentional and not some security bug on their site)
What would custom firmware mean exactly - they would flash e.g. their existing bootloader but with public key matching your 'private' key so further firmware updates are under your/our control? In that case perhaps many non-espruino guys hacking these trackers would be interested too = more buyers.
How price competitive this could be to typical ebay/aliexpress prices?
