@Stevie interesting... I tried to over-estimate the figures I gave though.
When measuring I tended to put a big capacitor across the meter - it helps to smooth out the fluctuations a bit and makes it a bit easier for me to get an average.
It's worth noting that there's some 'negotiation' during the connection where the Puck gives a range of polling frequencies it accepts, and the host then chooses one. It's entirely possible that my computer chooses a lower polling frequency, and yours chooses a higher one (and hence higher power draw).
I will try the idea with the capacitor, great suggestion! I will post the new results when I have done that. But again this could also be related to measuring error.
